Profile

Key Responsibilities


Supervise and coordinate all welding activities in the workshop and onsite, ensuring compliance with project specifications, procedures, and schedules.

Ensure welding is performed in accordance with approved WPS, drawings, and applicable codes and standards. Coordinate inspections including visual inspection, NDT, and documentation control.

Lead, mentor, and manage welders and welding assistants to maintain productivity, workmanship quality, and safety standards.



Allocate resources effectively, monitor welding progress, and provide feedback to project and production teams on performance and constraints.


Enforce HSE policies and promote a strong safety culture within the welding team.
Technical Support & Problem Solving: Assist in resolving welding-related technical issues, repair procedures, and non-conformance matters.


Qualifications/Experience:


Educational background: Trade Tested Welder / Welding inspection certification SAIW level 1 or 2 (Advantageous)



Years of experience: 5+ years of welding experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory capacity.



Industry knowledge: Experience in fabrication, marine, oil and gas, or high-pressure piping environments will be advantageous.



Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of welding procedures (WPS/PQR), material grades, weld symbols, and NDT requirements.



Computer literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.



Additional skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple work fronts simultaneously
