Position overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Procurement and Logistics Admin to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure timely acquisition of materials and services, support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain strong vendor relationships. This role ensures the smooth operation of purchasing, order expediting, and import/export processes, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing department while complying with all relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the procurement process by liaising with vendors, tracking supplies, and expediting orders and deliveries through regular communication, including daily follow-ups.
- Coordinate transportation, shipping, and delivery schedules with carriers and vendors to ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, inventory data, and logistics activities in electronic and paper-based filing systems for easy retrieval.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs within procurement and logistics functions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, quality, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in managing and coordinating the import/export activities to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- 0 - 2 years of relevant experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills:
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and terminology is an advantage.
