- Ensuring safe working conditions and good housekeeping in the workshop.
- Planning of resources in the workshop.
- Allocation of personnel in the workshop
- Manage production efficiency.
- Manage employee discipline in line with company policy
- Perform ongoing quality inspections.
- Manage large projects; repair and upgrades, and manufacturing of industrial and sub-sea structures
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/2000 & ISO 140001requirements in the workshops
- Interpret client specifications and manufacturing codes
- Manage fabrication planning, method statements underwritten by excellent project management skills
- Labour planning and utilization of work force
- Control of Labour hours, workshop and equipment
- Implement requirements of Quality Control Plans
- Support Project Managers and function as a member
- Be able to prioritize in dynamic projects environment
- Setting individual and team goals to support Company objectives.
- Developing and implementing career and succession plans to increase unit and individual effectiveness and achieve company objectives
- Identifying, providing and monitoring resources required by subordinates: budget, equipment and manpower

We seek the ideal candidate profile with:
Minimum qualification/educational level:
Relevant trade test
Minimum experience required:
A minimum of 5 years experience in the manufacture of Heavy Steel Structures and Pipe Work, serving in a managerial position,
Job knowledge needed:
Heavy fabrication, Welding processes, piping.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001/2000 & ISO 140001.
Skills required:
Boiler making, Pipe Fitting, Welding process and distortion control, Safe working practices. People management/supervising.
Manufacturing processes knowledge is essential
