Position Overview:

As part of our Design Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of engineering solutions for complex projects. Your responsibilities will include:

• The delivery of quality 2D and 3D drawings for structural, piping and equipment design.
• Create concept general arrangement (GA) drawings and calculate BOM’s for estimation purposes for piping and structural scopes.
• Issue detailed fabrication drawings including necessary welding details as per industry standards.
• Issue Piping Isometric drawings and generate/modify P&ID’s.
• Integrate 3D models in Point Cloud Data and perform detailed clash check analysis.
• Undertake site surveys, both onshore and offshore which are sufficiently detailed and concise information is taken for accurate drawing and reporting preparation.
• Create detailed follow-up survey report analysis, concept drawings, and information necessary for quotation purposes.
• Timely completion of all allocated projects.
• Ensure all relevant standards and techniques are in line with the 3CMME framework.
• Assist in updating databases, files of specifications, standards, and drawing tools.
• Review rough sketches, drawings, and other data to ensure that they comply with design concepts.
• Explain drawings to project team and provide adjustments as necessary.

We seek the ideal candidate profile with:

• Educational Background: Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Essential Skills: Degree or certification in Drafting, specializing in Structural, Piping, or Mechanical design.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Offshore Structures and Ship Design principles.
• Software Proficiency: Expertise in Autodesk AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and advanced skills in 3D modeling software, such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Offshore Experience: Proven experience in the Offshore Oil and Gas sector is a must.
• Engineering Acumen: Solid understanding of technical requirements in the Oil and Gas industry, with a focus on industry standards, best practices, and safety protocols.
• Fabrication Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of steel fabrication, specifically related to piping and structural components.
• Advanced Piping Expertise: Experience with high-pressure piping systems (5,000psi, 10,000psi, 15,000psi WP) is a significant advantage.
• Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS) and their integration processes is a plus.
• Emerging Technologies: Experience with laser scanning and Point Cloud techniques would be an added benefit.
