Key duties and responsibilities

• Conduct safety assurance activities as directed, in accordance with the ISO 45001:2018 standard.


• Provide HSE support to projects by maintaining a visible presence in the workshops and on-site. Ensure site visits are conducted at least once per shift and, where possible, coordinate with the project manager.


• Regularly review and stay updated on all applicable legislation and standards to ensure compliance.


• Develop and maintain a Safety Management Plan (SMP) for the site to ensure a safe working environment.


• Regularly audit the SMP to verify compliance.


• Ensure that all incidents are reported immediately.


• Participate in the investigation of incidents.


• Review safety obligations for client projects.


• Comply with all relevant health, safety, environmental, quality, legal, and regulatory requirements as stipulated by company policies.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Health and Safety field


• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.


• Occupational Health and Safety Diploma or Certificate (e.g., SAMTRAC, NEBOSH).
